About Us

Reclaim The Night Co was founded by two women who have spent their careers working alongside women navigating violence, fear, and systems that too often fail them — and who believe deeply that safety should never be the price of freedom.

Meg is a qualified Domestic and Family Violence Practitioner and Social Worker, with over eight years’ experience working in — and managing — specialist Domestic and Family Violence services. Her work has always been grounded in social justice, gender equality, and supporting women to reclaim power, autonomy, and choice in their lives.

Hayley has also worked in the Domestic and Family Violence sector for over a decade and shares a strong passion for empowering women and creating meaningful, lasting change. Together, we have supported countless women through safety planning, risk assessment, and recovery — walking alongside them as they navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

A core part of our work has always been safety planning. And often, that means equipping women with personal safety alarms.

But there was a problem.

The alarms available were usually cheap, unreliable, bulky, or painfully obvious. They didn’t reflect the women carrying them — and they certainly didn’t feel empowering. They were something to hide, not something to feel confident holding.

So we decided to do something about it.

Reclaim The Night Co was born from years of trying, testing, modifying, and rethinking personal safety tools. We set out to create alarms and safety accessories that are aesthetic, discreet, reliable, and affordable — offering both battery-operated and rechargeable options — because safety tools should work with your life, not against it.

But this business was never just about products.

As long-time advocates in the gender-based violence space, we knew we wanted to build a business with a moral compass. One that gives back wherever possible. One that shares psycho-educational content, challenges harmful narratives, and supports women beyond a checkout page.

The name RECLAIM THE NIGHT CO is a deliberate choice. It draws from the feminist movement that began in the 1970s, demanding women’s right to move freely through public spaces without fear of violence. Decades later, that message is still painfully relevant — and still worth fighting for.

We believe women deserve to show up as their full selves. To take up space. To walk, travel, work, and live without constantly calculating risk. To be unapologetic in their presence — without safety being the trade-off.

Reclaim The Night Co exists to support that vision.
Not just through what we sell — but through what we stand for.
